The Some-What Wonderful World of Jr. High
So, I started 7th grade this year, and being that my school district goes to Jr. High, not Middle School, I started Jr. High this year, not Middle School last. Many things are different. I’ll try my best, but I’m not sure that I can name it all. K, here goes-
- 6 Classes a Day (Plus Advisory on Tues. & Thurs.)
- There’s a lot of people in your classes, not just the 30
- There is a small group of people in most of your classes
- You get to CHOOSE your specialist.. but you see them every day and instead it’s called an elective
- Not everybody is forced to take PE (and yes, you do have to change!)
- If you have 1st period PE like me, you may end up not being fully dressed for the pledge of allegiance… xP
- You get your own locker, and one in the locker room for PE (see above)
- Both guys and girls dress.. well.. differently
- People DO text in class (not me)
- People DO skip classes (still not me)
- Relationships DO get started for real
- There are school dances, and people dance dirty (once again, not I)
Did I cover it all? Of course not! Are you crazy? This is JR. HIGH we’re talking about! It is quite the experience… guess you’ll just have to see it to believe it! And maybe my school won’t be just like the one you go to, but it’s all pretty stereotypical.. oh yeah! One more thing..
- Guys DO dance
Prove you wrong now?
Btw.. NEVER. EVER. EVER. TRIP. Do with that what you will…
Sincerely,
Ashley Brown

Oh yeah! Almost forgot. You WILL make new friends. Whether you meet them by helping with homework, or they just happened to sit down at your table for lunch, you’ll meet them, and they’ll be AMAZING.
